With the full support of the general manager and company leaders at all levels, as well as the joint efforts of all members of the project team and various departments, the Fran ERP project lasted for 60 days and was officially launched on March 19, 2023. This project is an important measure of Fran's digital transformation, and its successful launch also marks a new level of digital and intelligent management for Fran Medical. This ERP project has been facing severe challenges of tight schedule and heavy tasks since the beginning of construction. In order to promote the project process and quickly improve the management level of the enterprise, all companies, departments, and members of the project team of UFIDA and UFIDA closely cooperated, carrying forward the spirit of Fran's unity and cooperation, practicality and innovation, overcoming difficulties, and steadfastly completing the project implementation work according to the plan.
On January 15, 2023, the implementation team of UFIDA Consulting entered and conducted training on key user system concepts, laying the foundation for subsequent project work. Through training, all ERP users and management recognize that information systems are an important tool and lever for improving enterprise management. Senior executives in each center should change their mindset, fully understand the importance of projects, and actively participate in project construction. The project managers of both parties gave detailed presentations on the project implementation scope, project organization, project methods, successful implementation conditions, and project incentive measures. The meeting further emphasized the importance of key users in project construction, and through this project, made key users the seeds of company management change.
Blueprint design stage
Since the start of the project, both project teams have actively invested in the project work, discussing and drawing company business processes every day, preparing system implementation plans, and summarizing business process improvement points; Based on the current management situation of the company and the advanced concepts of the ERP system, a management model suitable for Fran Medical has been developed. Everyone is enthusiastic and actively involved, sorting out processes and adjusting and optimizing multiple processes. Organize to report and solicit opinions on the process determined through discussion, and ultimately complete the confirmation by leaders at all levels. At this point, the ERP project has taken a crucial step.
System testing phase
Based on the project blueprint planning, UFIDA consultants quickly completed the system configuration, and the development consultants worked diligently according to the development checklist. ERP is a complex and massive system that requires business adaptability and accuracy verification even after configuration is completed. Therefore, the project team organized multiple rounds of testing. Key users from various business departments play a very important role in the system testing process, mainly conducting detailed testing on multiple core business scenarios such as business accuracy within each module, business connectivity between modules, and data accuracy. All members participating in the testing are diligent, meticulous, and rigorous in their work. Through multiple rounds of testing, continuous system adjustments, and optimizations, they ultimately meet the actual business operation requirements.
Launch preparation stage
After the system testing was completed, the project entered the countdown to going live. Firstly, the project team formulated a strict online strategy and consulted with leaders at all levels for their opinions. According to the requirements of the "online strategy", all members of the project teams on both sides worked tirelessly and overtime to initiate the system. Within two weeks, they completed the static master data of materials, customers and suppliers, as well as the confirmation and initialization of dynamic data such as initial inventory count, financial opening, and open documents. Before going live, the project team organized the first round of "system launch training", and business personnel at all levels had a basic understanding of system operation. The second round of training will focus on key user speakers, combined with business application explanations, to enable end users to use the system more proficiently.
System launch phase
On March 28, 2023, the Fran ERP system was launched as scheduled. The project teams of both parties held regular meetings every day to track the system's online operation status, check the daily document entry status, and handle any problems encountered during the online operation at any time. The launch of the system is the starting point for enterprise applications, and continuous improvement and optimization should be done while maintaining stable operation.
Fran ERP has been successfully launched, achieving comprehensive information management of the company's logistics, information flow, and capital flow for inventory, procurement, materials, sales, and other aspects. It integrates enterprise resources and allocates them reasonably, reduces company management costs, and provides comprehensive digital support for the company's production and operation.
